Lily is skeptical, but interested, and allows him to attempt putting her in a trance. Lily is told to focus her attention on a pocket watch, and after some fidgeting, is eventually relaxed enough that she slips into hypnosis. She repeats the suggestions given to her while speaking in a sleepy, quite voice. The hypnotist's words become her thoughts, and Lily gives in completely, following all commands her master gives her.
